The Ultimate Sacrifice

On Calvary’s hill, a sacrifice so grand, Jesus stretched His arms, the nails in hand. The crowd looked on, their hearts in strife, As He bore the weight of eternal life.

The trees stood witness, their leaves aghast, Telegraph poles whispered, shadows cast. Hills bowed low, clouds wept tears, And the sky itself trembled with fears.

Birds ceased their songs, bees hummed no more, Flowers wilted, and leaves fell to the floor. The sun hid its face, the moon turned away, Stars wept in silence, and night became day.

And the God who made all, in that moment divine, Saw His Son suffer, His love intertwine. For sinners like us, lost and astray, Jesus endured the cross, the price to pay.

His blood flowed freely, forgiveness poured, Mercy and grace in every drop stored. The perfect Lamb, blameless and true, He hung there for me, for you, for all who knew.

The tomb sealed tight, guards stood their ground, But death could not hold Him, hope unbound. On the third day, the stone rolled away, He rose triumphant, forever to stay.

In His resurrection, hope reborn, A world redeemed, no longer torn. So let us repent, turn from our ways, Embrace His love, and sing His praise.

For Jesus, our Savior, the Lamb so pure, Endured the cross, our salvation sure. May His sacrifice echo through time, Drawing hearts to repentance, sublime.

Remember His love, His mercy so vast, And find redemption in the shadow He cast.
